In the lead up to the Australian Women's Keelboat Regatta, Royal Melbourne Yacht Squadron will again be hosting the popular Regatta Lecture Series.
Sarah Ogilvie (Blanck) is an Australian Sailor known best for her Olympic campaigns in Athens in 2004 sailing in the Europe and again in 2008 in the Laser Radial. Sarah just missed out on the podium, placing 4th at both Olympics.
Sarah began sailing at the age of 11 in a Minnow out of Blairgowrie, she has won many awards including; Australian Sailor of the Year, Victorian Sailor of the Year, Australian Junior Athlete of the Year and Australian Youth Sailor of the Year.
Sarah will be discussing pre-regatta preparation and strategy on the 9th of May.
The Regatta Lectures are held on Wednesday nights at 1900 in the Harbour Room. Dinner is available prior to the lectures in the Olympic Room. All bookings can be made via email to olympicbar@rmys.com.au
