Hall Hire

Please note the Frankston Yacht Club is currently still under construction.

Our new building will be shared with a restaurant and a cafe. These tenants will not be part of the Frankston Yacht Club but separate business within the building. We will occupy the lower floor of the building, with the cafe taking approximately half the space.

We are currently in negotiations with the council in relation to the terms and conditions of our lease. Once a time frame for the completion of the building has been established we will provide details on our function packages and dates available to book.

unfortuntly we are unable to take bookings or provide pricing information.

We thank you for your understanding during this time.

Membership at FYC

Finding the right sporting and social club for yourself and your family can be a hard decision, but you can't go pass a membership at Frankston Yacht Club.

The club offers Learn2Sail Programs and active racing throughout the season. Our new building will be shared with a restaurant and a cafe. These tenants will not be part of the Frankston Yacht Club but separate business within the building. We will occupy the lower floor of the building, with the cafe taking approximately half the space.and

FYC is 100% volunteer ran. Each season members are rostered to complete daily tasks around the club, this may include emptying the bins, washing the floors, working in the canteen or being on a safety boat. By volunteering, we are able to keep our fees low and spend money on replacing our equipment etc. Our next roster will be sent out with our invoices in August.

During the redevelopment, Frankston Yacht Club is operating out of the demountable next to Kannanook Creek.

Racing season begins on the first weekend of October and concludes on the last weekend in April. Membership is invoiced annually each August.

Due to the redevelopment, intake of membership is currently closed. Expressions of interest for membership are being excepted for the following categories;

Youth - Members Under the age of 21 or have evidence of their full-time student status or health card

Senior Members- 21+ years with on-water participation involved in club activity this may include club volunteers, crew members, Sailability participants

Family - One senior member with on water participation plus members partners, sponsors, suppliers any other non-regular sailing members. (children must be under the age of 18 to be included)

Please note social membership is currently closed.

Frankston Yacht Club Redevelopment Update and Clarification

December 2015

The construction of the new building on the foreshore at Frankston is progressing well. It was previously the Frankston Yacht Club and the Yacht Club will be a tenant in the new building.

It is being built by Frankston City Council and designed to include a restaurant and a cafe as well as cater for the requirements of a yacht club, and all indications are that it will be a distinct and an excellent addition to the Frankston Waterfront.

The restaurant and cafe are being put out to tender, and the management arrangements for the building will be finalized once all the tenants have been determined.

Frankston Yacht Club hopes to offer a range of different memberships in the future once the management structure is confirmed between the tenants and the Council. Until this new structure is in place FYC is unable to provide details.

We are currently operating out of containers and demountable near the new building and are looking forward to moving to the new building in 2016. If you are interested in taking up sailing and would like to know more, then please drop in and say hello.
